HORN KLEIMANN WAITZHOFER fends off invalidity law suit by multinational US-based software company. The patent is directed at the protection of software against manipulation. The firm represented the patent proprietor at both instances – initially at the German Federal Patent Court and then at the Supreme Court. While the German Federal Patent Court ruled that the subject matter of two independent claims was obvious in light of the prior art, the Supreme Court overturned this decision in favor of our client.
